i want to buy and sell domains?

im thinking about buying and selling domain names i have never bought or sold one before but i have thought of some very good ones that are avaliable to buy that i want to buy then sell. i just dont understand how it works. when i purchase the domain what do i get? and when do i sell it how do i give the domain to the buyer? any help would be much appreciated.
